Question: Overcoming obstacles is a theme in the book. What challenges does Charli face and does it allow her to develop as a person?

In the story Spud & Charli, Charli over comes her fears a lot of times she over comes her fear of raiding a horse. Theres a bit of drama tthat goes on in the story. Charli over comes her fear of raiding horse by her teacher saying that she’s not going to fall off the horse. Then she actually got on the horse and she didn’t find it bad. She also had a fear of the bats she was scared that they were going to bit her but when Spud was outside and there was bats everywhere, she was brave enough to go and get Spud. Charli overcame all of her fears by been brave and by getting over it.

In my opinion the book is very interesting but when it gets to the end it’s really boring because it’s just like that she goes home and that she couldn’t race Spud. But i liked most of the book, like the start of the book and the middle of the book. A bit of the book made my cry like when she said that Spud might have the virus and that Mr Shearer might kill him. I got mad when Mikalela lied to Charli about what was happening. She also lied about that Mr Shearer about burying the horses.

As you can see Charli over comes her fears with her friends. In the story she was kind, caring, helpful and loving everyone. Like in the story Charli trust Makaela with what she said. She over came her fears of jumping the thing with her horse with Alice. Charli over came a lot of fear when she was camp she also made lots of friends and now she’s a brave girl.

This team I’m reading a book called Spud & Charli so far I like it when Charli said“ eww pink gross” to the twins that was wearing all pink. I think that at the end of the book that she will win in the competition and that she will start to like Spud. One of my response is the girls that was wearing pink T-shirts, pink socks even pink sleeping bags.

Today in class we did the 100 word challenge. It was a bit hard because we had to make sure that we had 100 words. we also had to choose a prompt like:

That’s what happens when you are in France…….
My heart was beating faster and faster by the second. I turned red like a tomato. I was going crazy for the love of my live. He had beautiful brown hair and brown eyes he was so cute. His name was Luke Brooks. I just kissed him I was going crazy by the minutes. After a couple of weeks he asked me to marry him. I told him that I will think about it. After one day him came to my house and asked me again if I will marry him. I was silent for a couple of minutes him was turning into a sad face so I said YES I will marry you. He was happy like a flower. Soon I was going to be Jacinta Brooks or also known as Mrs Brooks. Finally we were a couple forever. That’s what happens In France the romantic place to be.

Mr Bean the witness report

I was looking around the beautiful museum, when I saw a pretty painting of a yellow vase and some cool flowers inside. I turned around to look at some girls who were walking in. When I turned around to look at the paining I saw a robber. He was wearing a black hat a white top,a black pants,black gloves and was holding a long thin briefcase. So I took a picture of him taking the paining.

I started to follow him around the city to try to catch him, he was moving faster every time I got close, we were going all around the place. He was in a dark blue car. The car’s plate number was M2ILJK. I followed him to France on a boat. I was waiting so I could get on the boat but there was a light blue car in front of me. His car was broken, so I went around it to get on the boat, and finally I got on the boat.

At last we got off the boat and we were in France. I got stuck in a traffic jam. I saw him cutting in the line he started to drive on the path way. I was still following him. I saw that his car had crashed so I got out of my car and I got the painting case that he had and I went all the way back to Endand to put the painting back. Then the police arrested him and I got $10000 award.

What’s the ending of your story?

The book I read in my Literature circle was staying alive in year 5.

The chapter was about students in year 5 that a weird teacher.

In my group discussion I talked about some questioners like:
Why did Mr Murlin replace Miss Holland?

Through my group discussion,I learnt about why grandpa was mad about the topic that Mr Murlin gave him.

An interesting thought I took from the chaper was that I founded interesting was that the teacher knew what they were good at and what they were wearing and what they had.
